Oct. 5-7 Camp San Luis Obispo. This is the event to make! Our first tactical reenactment. The senario is Bougainville and we will be the 38th Independent Mixed Brigade. Army troops only, no SNLF as this was a strictly Army operation for the Japanese. You need to buy your own blanks. Also bring food for the field and plenty of water. We will have barracks to sleep in at night.
Oct. 20-21 This should be our biggest encampment ever! We will also be in the public battle and expect a big turnout for this event in Chino at Del Prado Dam. The Hago Tank should be there and participating in the battle as well.
December
(Tentative) Dec. 1-2 CHG Battle, Ozena Valley, Russo-Japanese Battle -The CHG ETO battle has been postponed so December is once again open to us. This will probably not be a very big battle, but that means lots of action and at a site we can do anything we want from vehicle manuvers to digging emplacements. A great site with lots of space.
March/April 2008
The Japanese reenactors from Japan want to return sometime in April/March. No site, or plans as yet.
Nov. 9-10 Pomona. This is supposed to be quite an event for militaria collectors. At the site of the old Great Western Gun show this one will be in Building 9 and our display will be right outside the front entrance. For those who came, this should be at the same building as the Weekend of Heroes Convention we attended. Friday and Saturday only.
Flabob Air Show - Nov. 10-11
(Tentative) Still not decided to attend this, but since it is the same weekend as the Pomona show we will probably not attend.
